“When my mom passed in September 2023, it was a very difficult loss as we were very close. I researched the top three mortuaries in Hilo and drove by the three facilities. Homelani Memorial Park had the most beautiful location up on a hill with ocean views. Additionally the property had a peaceful presence. Porscha greeted me on my first visit and answered all my questions. She made the process simple and she was appropriately kind and compassionate. She was really the hero of my experience with Homelani. She helped me through all of the difficult details and was quick to respond. Lastly, Homelani also happened to be the most cost effective of the three local mortuaries even though I ultimately worked with them because of their location/facilities and good/easy communication with Porscha.
