Suzanne Smith
Dear family of Clarence Ono,
I was surprised and touched to read Clarence's passing in our Honolulu newspaper.
Clarence and I go back to California days before I moved to Hawaii. I was a young out
of college flight test analyst and Clarence was my supervisor at Rocketdyne for
several years! He was a very hard working, and caring boss. We worked on
our country's rocket propulsion systems, which was current news and a very
satisfying job for me.
Being the new kid on the block I organized our staff celebrations on Ventura
blvd usually on a Friday after work. Clarence was always supportive and
in attendance, being the gentleman he was.
I am sad to know he left this world but enlightened to read he moved back to
Hawaii and tended orchids. That must have been a loving work for him.
If anyone in the family cares to communicate, please email me at condorentals

I would love to hear more about Clarence's years after leaving California.
I moved to Hawaii in 1968 and lost contact with my Rocketdyne buddies.
Sincerely,
Suzanne Smith
