Mrs. Morinaga, Gail, and family,

We are very sad to hear about Russell's passing. He was a really good guy and we spent a lot of time with him during our days at the UH and the years that followed until we moved to the mainland in the 80's. We had a lot of fun times together playing volleyball and having pizza afterwards,, attending basketball and football games, having late night snacks at Washington Saimin, and just hanging out together. Russell was always there if we needed him for any reason.

Take care and enjoy your good memories of Russell.

PS from Jan : We'll think of the good times, of which there are many. Our biggest 'share' is in having Russell be a part of our wedding by accepting our honor of having him as our best man.

Mrs. Morinaga, Gail, and family,

My mom (Teresa) and I will miss Russell a lot. We met him when he joined our Hilo Lions Club. We would get together to talk stories and eat at different restaurants in town. He was funny and an all around nice guy. My mom visited him a couple of times and he always was in good spirits. We’ll miss his jokes and the stories he used to share.

I hope that remembering the good times & fond memories of him will help you get

Russ was one of the good guys and is the only person I know who had the most
knowledge of the TV series "Gunsmoke". He will be missed.
