He was an auto mechanic for U Broke'um, I Fix'um Repair Shop and R & R Machinery, a baseball coach for the Hilo Jr. Little League, and a football coach for Panaewa Pop Warner Football. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.A visitation will take place on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Church on a Sure Foundation - Hilo (inside the Prince Kuhio Plaza) from 5 to 6 p.m.; a memorial service will take place at 6 p.m. Family requests casual attire and to omit flowers.He is survived by spouse, Shirely Filoteo of Hilo, HI; 2 daughters, Tandylynn Filoteo of Hilo, HI and Noel Filoteo of Hilo, HI; sons, Andrew Filoteo III of Hilo, HI; 5 sisters, Verda (Tony) Arriaga of Hilo, HI, Lila (Michael Rivera) Filoteo of Hilo, HI, Donna Rosas of Hilo, HI, Ulu (Arsenio Julian Jr.) Filoteo of Hilo, HI, and Brenda (Kufa) Filo of Hilo, HI; 4 brothers, Adan (Debra) Rodrigues of Ainaloa, HI, Allen (Raynette) Filoteo of Hilo, HI, Glenwell Filoteo of Hilo, HI, and Kamanawa Grube of Hilo, HI; 1 grandson; numerous nieces and nephews.
