Anita Mae Andrade's Obituary
Anita Mae Andrade, 92, of Hilo, HI died June 6, 2026, at home. Born in Hilo, she was the Co-proprietor and office manager for the former Andrade & Andrade Auto Trim Shop, and was a loving and nurturing wife, mother and grandmother.
Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Papaikou. Rosary will begin at 8:45am, visitation at 9:00am, Mass at 10:00am with light lunch to follow in the parish hall. Private internment. In lieu of flowers or monetary gifts, memorial donations are requested to Hawaii Care Choices of Hilo.
Survived by husband Clement Andrade, children, Clement Andrade II (dec.), Michael (Linda) Andrade of Spokane, WA., Michele (Patrick) Sweeney of Aptos, CA., William (Suzanne) Andrade of Hilo, Patrick (Melissa) Andrade of Bend, OR., Edward (Beth) Andrade of Hilo, and Bernadette (Ahtagi dec.) Atagi of Hilo; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; siblings Isabelle Difatta of CA., John Basque of Kona, Frances Medeiros of Hilo and Rita Lovato of CA.; sisters-in-law Mildred (Bruce dec.) McCollum and Carol (Floyd) Hindbaugh of MI.; predeceased by siblings David (Grace) Basque of Kona, Marianne (Manuel dec.) Soares of Hilo and Antone (Mary dec.) Basque of Hilo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
