Benjamin Kaleo Kekalia
September 21, 1961 - October 27, 2024
Kaleo passed away at the age of 62 in Kona hospital where he was diagnosed with leukemia..
He was born in Kaunakakai, Molokai to MaryAnne Tadio and Benjamin Kekalia.
Graduated from Molokai high school and studied at Maui community college.
Kaleo was living in Kailua, Kona where he worked on a coffee bean farm. Previous to working on the farm, he had his business "BK Landscaping" and he helped build the wall of the Mokuāaikaua Church.
He was kind, trustworthy, hard working and loved the outdoors and ocean. He enjoyed helping people, and loved singing and playing to his ukulele.
Kaleo was predeceased by his mother Maryanne Tadio (1989), his father Benjamin Kekalia, his stepfather John Ruggiero (2013), sister Colette Loke Kekalia (1989) and his grandparents
He is survived by his sisters, Nancy Ruggiero Marsh and Suzanne Ruggiero; brother, John Ruggiero; nephews, Jeffrey Ruggiero, Kaleo Marsh and Alapaki Ahuna; nieces Sicellia Ruggiero, Samaijah Brown, and Jacqueline Ruggiero; and many great nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
