Brannock D. Au Sr.'s Obituary
Brannock D. Au, Sr. of Volcano, Hawaii, passed away unexpectedly on March 23, 2020. He was 66 years old. Born on January 7, 1954 in Honolulu, grew up in Ka’a’awa, attending St. Ann’s School in Kaneohe. He graduated from James B. Castle High School, Class of 1973. He was a State ranked moto cross bike rider in the hills above Kahuku during his high school years. He moved to the Big Island in the mid 1970’s and worked on a variety of projects with his father and brother at William R. Au, Jr. General Contracting. He is survived by his son, Brannock D. Au, Jr. his daughters Puanani, Shawnna-Lei and Calenna-Lani, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Wedemeyer and Rusty, sisters Marlene, Sharon, Vannassa, sister-in-law Sandy, fifteen nieces and nephews, 3 aunties and many cousins. He was pre-deceased by his parents, William R. and Catherine Akiona Au, his brother Aaron and his former wife, Tricia-Lani. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
