Brent Marshall Bender's Obituary
Bernie “Brent Marshall” Bender – August 22nd, 1952 – March 5th, 2026
Survived by all those he loved without reservation and by all who loved him in return. He is at peace with his God, reunited in eternity with his son, Jake. He is in his shop, savoring the feel of the wood in his hands, already dreaming of his next woodworking project. He is excited about his next building project, so proud, humbled, and grateful to be chosen for “Going Vertical.” He is fishing with Mark, with an endless supply of PB&Js. Hana Pa’a!
He is walking his dogs through the pastures of Waimea. He is building homes with Eric, Gary, and David, pouring his heart, soul, and love for design into each one - just one more for Ed & Tia. He is sitting in harmony with Connie, watching a never-ending sunset, forever in awe of the beauty and grace of God and the universe.
We will celebrate Bernie’s life at a time to be determined later in the coming year. In the interim, please consider a contribution to the O’hana 12 Step Club of Kona or the Mana Christian Ohana Church of Waimea in lieu of flowers.
