What a lovely, thoughtful and kind person she was to our family. We met Carmen when transporting her to medical appointments when she was relatively new to the island. She was witty and fun to converse with on those long trips from home and back. This gracious lady was so sweet to invite us to her home for Thanksgiving when we were new friends! She cooked up a feast fit for a king but because of our work schedules, only our daughter could attend. After they hung out and had a wonderful time, Carmen sent her home with a heap of delicious Thanksgiving goodies for the two of us. Thats the kind of person she was, full of aloha and a blessing to others. We will never forget her.
The Hebrew origin of the name Carmen is "Garden of God." It's like we were
flowers in her garden for this time and space. To the family and friends of this sweet lady, I imagine your touch on her life created a very beautiful and meaningful garden of blessing for her. Very sorry for your loss but know that Jesus has gained, she is whole, and happy and we will see her again one sweet day. Aloha Sis, a hui hou.
