Cassandra Charlene Wylie's Obituary
Cassandra Wylie (born Cassandra Charlene Chudy) passed onto the next grand adventure, as she would say, peacefully on August 29th, 2025. She is and will be greatly missed.
She was wonderful and wild and weird in all the best ways. She could recite the Raven by heart and knew every song Bob Dylan ever sang. She loved chocolate, ice cream coffee, howling at the moon, kazoos and googly eyes.
During her nearly 40 year career as an advocate for women and children she touched many lives. She loved her work supporting others on their healing journeys.
Her many and diverse friendships sustained her. She loved you all!
She was fun and funny, playful, daring, and adventurous.
She lived life to the fullest; so many adventures, so many stories, so many memories…
My mom left us this…
Cassandra has graduated Earth School and has returned to star dust from whence she came.
She plans to hangout in distant galaxies and a favorite restaurant in Greece. She may even finally get to visit Kathmandu and the Taj Mahal.
She will be available for talk story and conversations on full moons, Pagan holidays (especially Samhain) and births and deaths. If there is chocolate involved the chances are better.
She traveled through much of life on a roller coaster; front seat! arms up! Or floating serenely on a lotus flower, sometimes both in the same day.
She credits the love of her precious daughter, Kanani, for her deepest moments of joy, awe, laughter and adventure. And her extended sisterhood of beloveds for the essential gift of community, love, compassion, and music. A special mention to Lindy Lou- my heart sister, for all the years and heart filled memories.
