Curtis Lanui Spencer II's Obituary
Curtis Lanui Spencer II, a special needs adult whose lifelong struggle with disabilities served as an inspiration to all that knew him, died Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Life Care Center of Hilo.
Curtis, lovingly called Lanui by his sister, taught immeasurable lessons in compassion with such a kind heart, generous spirit, and forgiving nature. He exemplified the very nature of what one would imagine Jesus would want from us.
Curtis Lanui was born September 2, 1959 to the late Curtis Lanui Spencer of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii and the late Ruth Anna Brannon Spencer of Manassas, Virginia. He is survived by his sister Leilani, brother-in-law Edward; niece Maile and nephew Brandon Zebart all of Maryland; and his step-mother Margie Spencer of Kailua-Kona. Private services to be held at a later date.
