Custis R. Green Jr.'s Obituary
Custis R. Green, Jr., 95, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. A World War II veteran, he was one of the three men out of 19 who survived a midair collision over Germany and was a prisoner of war. Music centered his life as a pianist and singer. He was a life member of DAV – Puna Chapter No. 9, Haili Kumiai, St. Lucia National Trust, St. Lucia Naturalist Society, former member of Unitarian Roundtable and First United Protestant Church. Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Koshare Indian Museum (115 W. 18th St., La Junta, CO 81050). He is survived by spouse, Annette Green of Hilo, HI; 2 daughters, Ruth Sandoval of Columbus, GA and Amy (Fred) Nutter of Rockaway Beach, OR; son, Custis (Amy) Green III of Blaine, MN; 7 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 4 stepchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild; nieces and nephews.
