Danny Kealohaokalani Kalauli's Obituary
On the evening of Sunday, April 02,2023, Danny Kealohaokalani Kalauli passed away in his home in Pahoa, Hawaii. Danny was surrounded by his Ohana singing and playing music. Danny was 75 years old.
After graduating Hilo High, Danny joined his brothers and worked for S. McCabe Paving Company, also known as Big Island Paving Co. for 40+ years. He also enjoyed his time working for Conen's Freight Transport in Hilo. He was loyal, kind, caring, helpful and loved by all. His past affiliations were Kamahameha Canoe Club, Hawaiian Bowling Club, Prince David Kawananakoa Canoe Club, Hawaiian Civic Club, Keaukaha-Panaewa Association, Keaukaha Canoe Club, and many more.
Danny is survived by his daughter, Pua (Jon) Norris of Volcano; 6 step-children, Ola (Kathy) Tripp of Volcano, Harley Tripp of Maui, Pamela (Mike) Murray of Georgia, Michael Renier of Arizona, Raymond Subia of Hilo, and Patrice (Yaku Kotaki) David of Pa'auilo; sister, Nani Kaeha of Panaewa; brother, Randy Kalauli, of Oahu; sisters-in-law, Keola Kalauli of Hilo, Winna Kalauli of Arizona, Momi Kalauli of Oahu, and Mary Kalauli of Oahu; 17 grandkids; 24 great-grandkids; lots of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews to count.
A scattering of ashes will take place at Honolulu Landing in Hawaiian Beaches on April 29, 2023 at 9:00 A.M. with a potluck luncheon to follow at 12:00 PM at the Apolo Residence. Please contact daughter Pua at (808)339-2253 for address.
