De Ette PiʻikeaOPiʻilani Stevens Loa's Obituary
De Ette PiʻikeaOPiʻilani Stevens Loa, a retired preschool teacher, passed away on September 15, 2025 in Kona, Hawai‘i. A Kamehameha Kapālama alumni of the class of 1968, De Ette was born on March 27, 1950 in Honolulu, Hawai‘i.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth and is survived by her sons, Kenneth "Skip" Loa of Kalaoa, Jason Loa of Kailua-Kona, and David (Leinani) Loa of Hōnaunau; and daughter Kea Loa of Kalaoa. De Ette is also survived by her brother, Richard Stevens of Hilo, brother-in-law John Loa of Kāneʻohe, O‘ahu, sister-in-laws Doris McFadzen of Auckland, New Zealand, Jerileah Loa and Willa Loa both of Honolulu, Hawaii. De Ette leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren as well as numerous hanai brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, children and grandchildren.
Friends may call on the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kailua-Kona on Saturday, March 7, 2026 beginning at 9:00 A.M. with a 10:00 A.M. memorial service followed by a celebration of life at Kahalu'u Beach Park.
