Mr. Jensen was one of my more memorable teachers during my three years at Roosevelt High. I took American Studies from him during my senior year. I did pretty well in his class since that was one of the few classes that I ever got an A grade during high school. I have to say he was very passionate in his teaching and you could tell he loved instructing his students about American culture and history. He probably had an impact on me since I ended up majoring in history at UH-Manoa. To this day history is definitely part of my life and interest. Aloha and Mahalo to you fellow kama'aina, Mr. Jensen. A job well done.

Donald F. Jensen had a profound impact on my life; without question he influenced many others. He was my American Studies teacher at Roosevelt High School. Mr. Jensen was an true patriot, friend, and outstanding teacher (even if you didn't agree with his political leanings). His passing is sad for all of us who knew him. I am grateful to have been his student. While he may be gone, his teaching will last for a long time through thousands of people. Our State and Country is a better place because of Donald F. Jensen.
