Ethelwyne Elizabeth Nahina, 79, of Hilo, HI, formerly of Oahu, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Mohouli Senior Residence in Hilo. She was born in Honolulu, HI in October of 1939 and worked for the Y.M.C.A./Leeward/CIS on Oahu as a secretary.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. on Coconut Isand in Hilo, HI. Family requests casual attire.
She is survived by her husband Rodney D. Nahina of Hilo, HI; two daughters Carol Smith of Juneau, AK and Rita (Makani) Miller of Keaau, HI; three sons, Walter Firpo Smith III of Kalapana, HI, Patrick Allen Smith of Kalapana, HI and Carlos (Sheila) Huff of Valdez, AK; three brothers, Vincent Aquino Sr. of Kailua-Kona, HI, Stanley (Patricia) Aquino Sr. of Waianae, HI, and John Aquino Sr. of Kapaa, HI; two sisters, Louise Galla of Tucson, AZ and Evalani (Stanley) Mahan of Tucson, AZ; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
