Francis Pelekane's Obituary
Francis “Pele” Pelekane, 77, of Hilo, HI, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Holualoa, HI on March 19, 1937. He was a cowboy and rough rider for Parker Ranch. He was a member of the Parker Ranch Round Up Club. A visitation will take place on January 30, 2015 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Kealakehe High School Cafeteria; a Memorial Service will take place from 7 pm to 7:45 pm. Family requests aloha attire. Flowers and leis are welcome. He is survived by 3 daughters, Lushanya (Antone Jr.) Kawaauhau of Las Vegas, NV, Weegee (Leigh Case) Aki of Hawi, HI, and Leesha-Deen (Wayne Kihe) Pelekane of Kealakekua, HI; son, Robert-Francis (Jolayne) Pelekane of Capt. Cook, HI; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
