George D. Altamirano Sr.'s Obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of George D. Altamirano Sr, who left this
world on June 11th, 2024 at the age of 57. A beloved husband, father, and hero, George will be
deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
George proudly served his country with distinction in the Marine Corps for 10 years,
demonstrating unwavering bravery and dedication. His commitment to his fellow service
members and his country was a testament to his character and strength.
Beyond his military service, George was a devoted family man. He leaves behind his cherished
wife, Jemma, and their four loving children: George, Emilly, Janessa, and Gabriel. His family
and friends were his pride and joy, and he was a constant source of support, love, and guidance.
George is also survived by his sisters Diane, Maggie, Sally, nieces, nephews, and numerous
friends who will remember his kindness, humor, and generosity.
A service to honor and celebrate George’s life will be held on July 12, 2024 at 11:30 AM at
Veterans Cemetery #2 in Hilo, HI.
George will be remembered for his selflessness, his courage, and his unwavering love for his
family and country. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Rest in peace, George. You will forever be our hero.
