George B. Enter's Obituary
George B. Enter aka George Shippey, deceased August 13, 2021, was born November 28, 1964 on the island of Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia. George lived in several places throughout his lifetime. During his teen years, he lived in Washington Stateand then Michigan State. As a young adult, he moved back to Washington State, then returned to his beloved childhood island home of Pohnpei. Years later, he moved to Guam, Oregon State, and eventually settled on the big island of Hawaii. George was preceded in death by his father, Erle L. Shippey, Jr., his grandparents, Erle L Shippey, Sr., Mabel Shippey, Enser (Enter) Poll and Sora Peter Poll. He leaves behind four children; Alisha Shippey, Georgie Shippey, Russell Shippey, Justin Ponapart, and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving mother, Kiniya H. Shippey, his siblings, Rocky Holden (Mashaide), Kimiya Shippey-Matthews (John), Russell Shippey, Robert Shippey, Mike Shippey, Tregar Shippey, and Mooka Alfons. He leaves behind a large extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins as well.George felt most comfortable outdoors and held jobs that allowed him to enjoy nature. Whereever George lived, he made lifelong friends. Even during his darkest days, he could be found with people nearby who looked out for him. He always stopped to help someone down on their luck. His gentle soul and kindness will be greatly missed.His request for private celebration(s) of his life has been honored by his family. Homelani Memorial Park & Crematory in Hilo, Hawaii is handling his final wishes.
