Glenwell “Fish” Orlando Filoteo, 60, of Hilo, HI, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Honolulu, HI on Dec. 13, 1952. He was a service driver for Big Island Honda and Hawaii Motors. He coached for Hilo Boxing Club, Waiakea Boxing Club, and Panaewa Allis. A visitation will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 10 am to 11:30 am at the Haili Congregational Church; a memorial service will take place at 11:30 am. Family requests casual attire and omit flowers. He is survived by daughter, Lezlie (Doug Brown) Filoteo of Hilo, HI; hanai son, Queno Carvalho of Hilo, HI; 5 sisters, Verda (Tony) Arriaga of Hilo, HI, Lila Filoteo of Hilo, HI, Ruth (Lucas Julian) Filoteo of Hilo, HI, Donna Rosas of Hilo, HI, and Brenda (Kufa) Filo of Hilo, HI; 3 brothers, Allen (Raynette) Filoteo of Hilo, HI, Adan (Debra) Rodrigues of Puna, HI, and Lawrence “Nawa” Grube of Hilo, HI; sister-in-law, Shirley Filoteo of Hilo, HI; 3 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
