H. George Koenig's Obituary
H. George Koenig, 70, of Hilo, HI, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. He was born in Hackensack, NJ on Oct. 25, 1945. He was the retired Superintendent of the NASA Infrared Telescope on Mauna Kea, the co-founder of Business Automation Inc., art director for McCall’s Magazine, member of the Hilo United Methodist Men’s Group, and former Peace Corp. volunteer in Tonga. A visitation will take place on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016 from 9 am to 10:30 am at the Hilo United Methodist Church; a Celebration of Life will take place at 10:30 am. Urn burial at Homelani Memorial Park at 2 pm. Family requests casual attire. He is survived by spouse, Tupou Koenig of Hilo, HI; son, Loni Paul Koenig of Los Angeles, CA; brother, Ronald Koenig of Fort Lee, NJ.
