Growing up in Kona, Hannah was a talented young hula dancer who performed at the Kona Inn. After completing her education, she worked as a professional seamstress at Nancy’s Dress Shop, Vana’s, and Margo’s Bridal Shop in Hilo. A master of her craft, she created countless beautiful garments—especially wedding gowns—each sewn with patience, precision, and love. Her artistry and dedication continued until her retirement. She possessed a special gift for nurturing both keiki and kupuna, offering wisdom, patience, and unconditional love. Her home was a place of warmth—filled with laughter, comfort, and cherished lessons passed down through generations.
Hannah lived a life deeply rooted in love, strength, and devotion to family. She was known for her quiet resilience, gentle spirit, and steadfast presence. Guided by strong values, she carried herself with grace and humility, always placing family first and leading by example.
Her love for community was equally strong. Hannah dedicated countless hours to service as a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 20 in Kona, where she held several leadership roles. She was also a lifetime member of Women’s Aglow International, Kona, a respected kupuna of Kahaluʻu, Kona, and a cultural advisor for Wahi Kupuna.
