Harry Jackson Bryan III's Obituary
Harry Jackson Bryan III, commonly known as Jack or Jackson, the son of Harry Jackson Bryan Jr, and Sara Francis Bryan, passed away January 21, 2024, at his home on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Jackson was born June 20, 1947, in Weston, West Virginia and is survived by his wife Iyara Bryan, son Non Kaeoutsa, daughter Sasi Munmai, and his brother Tim Bryan.
He attended high school in Hilo, Hawaii and served in the US Navy and the Merchant Marines. Upon returning to Hawaii, he worked in construction and commercial horticulture.
Jackson lent his energetic and creative talents to many projects. He also worked on the rebuilding and recovery of post Hurricane Iniki Kauai
Aways a lust for travel and adventurer, Jackson later left Hawaii and took up residence in the Philippines where he was instrumental in helping preserve disappearing Filipino culture. He then moved on to Thailand where he met and married Iyara Munmai. Together they built a house in Northern Thailand where the family resided for many years until medical concerns brought him back to The Big Island.
The family bought land on the lower slopes of Mauna Loa and built another lovely home where they lived for several years until he passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends.
