James "Jimmy" Paiva Jr.'s Obituary
James "Jimmy" Paiva, Jr, 73, of Hilo died on May 20, 2023 in Kea'au. Born in Hilo on December 10,1949, he was a former employee of Papaikou Sugar Plantations, car detailer for Macayan Motors, and a bus driver for Jack's Tours. Survived by his sons, Donavan Paiva of Hilo, the late Philip Paiva of Hilo, and daughter, Wila Paiva of Hilo; grandchildren Havyn Gaines of Hilo and Devin Wessel of California; sisters Mary Ponggan of Hilo, Barbara Bondallian of Hilo, and Linda Paiva of Washington. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be a casual potluck celebration of life on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Ainaola Park of Hilo at 12 noon.
