James Ryan Perreira's Obituary
James “Kimo” Ryan Perreira, 74, of Hilo, HI, passed away on March 11, 2021 at Hilo Medical Center. Born on August 28, 1946 to Louis and Margaret Perreira Sr., he was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, attended UH Manoa, served in the U.S. Army infantry in Vietnam, was a Merchant Marine, spent time in Canada and San Francisco, studied hair design, worked for Hair Tree on Oahu and at Rainbow Hair Designs in Hilo, managed the Pi’ilau Apartments, held an active real estate license, and was a caregiver for his brother. He is loved and will be missed by his ‘ohana.
Private services were held.
He is survived by four brothers, Louis (Sharon) Perreira Jr., Manuel “Macky” Perreira, Paul Perreira, and John Perreira; five sisters, Audrey AhSing, Sister M. Agatha, Judy Vincent, Susan Weber, and Penny Oliveira; his partner, Lee McClusky; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunties, and uncles.
