Janet Phillips Lang's Obituary
Janet Phillips Lang passed on July 20, 2020 in Life Care Center of Hilo. She was born in Hilo on February 22, 1934. She was a nurse and devoted her life to helping children. She lived in Hilo most of her life and most recently worked as a crisis intervention worker for children. Earlier in her life, she worked with the Special Olympics. She loved to kayak and hike. Janet practiced Ho’oponopono. She graduated from Hilo High School and the San Francisco School of Nursing. She had a masters degree in Public Health from the University of Hawaii, Manoa Campus. She is survived by her son, Steven Lang, her sister, Nina Klooster and nieces Catlin Urban, Patchen Haggerty and nephew Dietrick Klooster. We grieve her passing and celebrate her life and her service.
