Joshua Kyle Kulanakila Andrade's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joshua Kyle Kulanakila Andrade, a beloved fiance, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, who left this world far too soon at the age of 29. Joshua, a dedicated Hilo Medical Center Maintenance worker, touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He passed away surrounded by the love of his family on September 3, 2023.
Joshua is survived by his loving fiance, Tee Cortez and their mixed bento, Kyle boy, Rylee, Kaleigh, as well as one more precious life on the way. His memory will forever live on in their hearts, a constant source of inspiration and much love. The love for his children meant the world to him while teaching them the rights and wrongs of life, and finding the best hiding spots when playing hide-n-seek with all the kids or getting the best shot during Nerf gun fight days.
Joshua is also survived by his devoted parents, Joseph III and Sandy Lehua Andrade, and his dear brother Joseph (Shorinna Leialii Andrade) Andrade IV. Family meant everything to Josh, and he cherished every moment creating cherished memories that will forever remain in their hearts.
In addition to his immediate family, Joshua is survived by his grandparents and many loving uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces and nephews. His warm and caring presence extended to his entire family, and he had a special place in the hearts of each one of them. His loss will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of being a part of his life.
Joshua was more than just a maintenance worker, he was a pillar of support, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. His kindness and generosity were unmatched, and he had a heart that knew no bounds. Joshua would give the shirt off his back to help a friend or event a stranger in need. His legacy of compassion and selflessness will continue to shine brightly through the lives he touched.
In his 29 years, Joshua accomplished something many strive for but few achieve - he made the world a better place. His unwavering love for his family and his dedication to helping others were his defining qualities, and they will serve as an enduring reminder of the extraordinary person he was.
As we say our goodbyes to Josh, let us remember the countless acts of kindness he bestowed upon us, the warmth of his smile, and the love he shared with all of us. In his memory, let us strive to live our lives with the same spirit of generosity, love, and selflessness that he embodied.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Sure Foundation Church located at 16-1592 Pohaku Circle, Keaau HI 96749, to celebrate the life of Joshua Andrade. Flowers for service can be delivered to Sure Foundation by 8:00 AM on the day of service.
Joshua, you will forever remain in our hearts, a beacon of light and love that will never fade. Rest in peace, dear friend, loving fiance, devoted father, cherished son and brother, and selfless soul. You will be dearly missed, but your memory will live on forever.
