He was a farm laborer and a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Keaau Congregation.A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Ainaloa Longhouse at 11 a.m. Family requests casual attire and to omit flowers.He is survived by spouse, Frances Calantoc of Pahoa, HI; 3 sons, Juan Calantoc Jr. of Hilo, HI, Phillip (Karin) Calantoc of Hawaii Kai, HI, and James Calantoc of Pahoa, HI; daughter, Carol (Russell) Danero of Lodi, CA; 2 sisters, Lourdes Balicoco of Hilo, HI and Leonora Tagalicud of Pahoa, HI; brother, Alfredo (Holly) Calantoc of Duluth, MN; 9 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
