Leonette Mapuana Abraham's Obituary
Leonette Mapuana “Mapu” Abraham, 55, of Hilo, HI, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Hilo, HI on April 4, 1960. She was a registrar clerk for Waiakea High School. She was a member of Zion House of Praise Holiness Church where she was very active in women’s ministries and was a Sunday School teacher. A celebration and fellowship will be held at a potluck luncheon on June 26, 2016, 12 – 6 p.m. at the Haili Tent in Panaewa. She is survived by husband, Willoughby I. Abraham of Hilo, HI; son, Davis (Stacey) K. Abraham of Hilo, HI; daughter, Naupaka M. Abraham of Lihue, Kauai; brother, Darrell Kuamoo of Hilo, HI; 3 brothers-in-law, Rodney Miyashiro of Puna, HI, William (Rebecca) L. Abraham of Kawaihae, HI, Robert (Deedee) M. Abraham of Hilo, HI; 4 sisters-in-law, Beni-Jo Kuamoo of Hilo, HI, Corinna Abraham of Hilo, HI, Lydia (Daniel) Abrojena of Captain Cook, HI , and Sandra (Robin) D. Young of Hilo, HI; one grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
