Lorraine Hume Chew, 84, of Hilo, HI, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Kohala, HI on Feb. 3, 1931. She was a cafeteria worker at Pahoa High School and the former manager of Blue Bird Drive-In in Pearl City, HI. She was a member of NAARFE. Private services to be held on Oahu. She is survived by 5 daughters, Waonette (Suzie) Chew of La Habra, CA, Marva Lynn Chew of Panaewa, HI, Jowett (Keith) Chew-Marumoto of Hilo, HI, Rayveen (Tim) Waters of Golden, MO, and Violyna (Roberto) Fernandez of Downey, CA; son, Langford (Mary) Chew of Makakilo, HI; hanai son, Walter Hall of Honolulu, HI; 2 sisters, Winona Pavo of Honolulu, HI and Elaine Pahio of Honolulu, HI; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
