Mae Jean Pua'ala Aveiro's Obituary
Mae Jean Puaʻala Aveiro, age 77, born on April 7th 1944 on Maui, peacefully passed on to our Lord alongside her beloved husband in their Hilo home on July 2, 2021. The unconditional love that came from her did not leave with her. Her kind spirit and giving nature has left an everlasting imprint on this world. Many new her as “Aunty Pua” or “Gami.” She took care of many people and helped us to understand the meaning of love. Love in her eyes is an unconditional commitment to others, imperfections and all; love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get, but rather what you are expecting to give-which for her was everything. All who were blessed with her grace felt that love, and she was often looked upon to calm rough seas. Aunty Pua always welcomed everyone and made them feel at home. She is survived by her loving husband, Clarence V. Aveiro Sr. and her sons Clarence “Babes” V. Aveiro Jr. (Deborah), Terence “Beep” T. Aveiro deceased (Kimberly), Troy J. Aveiro (Vanessa), and Dean “Dino” J. Aveiro (Jenifer). She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. It is better to give than receive, and for that we give her gracefully to our Lord and Savior knowing that we will one day meet again. Until that day comes, may her loving spirit carry on by way of her Aveiro Ohana and the many friends and Hanai family she has touched along the way. During this time, there will be no funeral service.
