Mark Allen Chamberlin, 69, of Volcano Village, died May 30, 2021 at Pohai Malama. Born on Maui and raised on Oahu, he was the former owner of Lava Rock Backhoe Services and retired as a heavy equipment operator with Operator Engineers Union Local 3.
Private services were held.
He is survived by his wife, Rae Pua Remmers Chamberlin of Volcano; son, Chad K. Chamberlin Sr. of Kailua-Kona; hanai daughter, Jonelle (Jimmy) Vita of Hilo; two granddaughters, Chanel (Jacob) Holm of Louisiana and Tatiana Vita of Las Vegas; two grandsons, Kaleo Chamberlin of Kailua-Kona and Cory Chamberlin of Kailua-Kona; great-granddaughter, Melianna Holm of Louisiana; brother, Bruce (Leinaala) Chamberlin of Waimea; sister-in-law, Beatta (Curtis) McDonald of Arkansas; brother-in-law, Harvey Remmers of Kalapana; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces, nephew, and cousins.
