Mary Alice McRae, 66, died July 2, 2018, at Pohai Malama in Hilo, Hawaii. Born in 1951 in Sanford, North Carolina, she was a retired educator and very active in Yoga and Zumba. A viewing will be held at Homelani Memorial Park on Read Obituary

I have fond memories of Mary Alice growing up in Sanford. Although older than me she hung out with my sister Becky and our dear friend Mary Jon ( deceased) So sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mary Alice was a friend of mine from first grade until now. We went through school and Girl Scouts together and watched each other grow into young adults.
There was never a friend that was as sweet and thoughtful as Mary Alice. Everyone she met left with a feeling of love and compassion,
