Michael John Cesaletti's Obituary
Michael (Mike) J. Cesaletti of Kailua-Kona passed away after an extended illness. He was surrounded by the love of his family and friends when he went home to be with the Lord at the age of 63 on January 31, 2025.Born on February 17, 1961 in Passaic, New Jersey to Raymond Cesaletti and Anita Jane Sandri, Mike came to live in Hawaii in the early 1990s. A sojourn in California saw him return to the mainland before coming back to Hawaii in his later years. He was known for his love for the Aloha State and for people. He served churches and local communities as a worship leader. A retired print pressman, he enjoyed fishing, golf, and spending time with his family. Those who knew him well will remember him for his faith, his whistling mood, and the songs that were always on his heart.Mike is survived by wife Elizabeth Cesaletti, and son Luke Cesaletti, of Kailua-Kona, sons Moses (Blythe) Norton of Spring, TX and Nathaniel (Jill) Norton of League City, TX, six grandchildren, two brothers Raymond and William, four sisters Carol, Donna, Clare, and Mary, as well as nieces and nephews. Per his last requests, his ashes will be scattered in Hilo Bay in a small, private service to honor his memory.His family is grateful for the outpouring of kindness and sympathy following their loss, and rests assured that Mike is beyond suffering in the presence of God. His family also asks that those wishing to express their condolences allow his wife and children time and space to grieve and commemorate.
