Michael Joseph Salentine's Obituary
Michael Joseph Salentine, of Hilo, Hawai'i, formerly of Glen Ellyn passed away unexpectedly on March 32, 2026. He was born on June 8, 1970, at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Mike was a graduate of Glenbard West High School and Western Governor's University. He worked many years for Northwestern Medicine in the IT department; however, his true passion was home renovations, and his home in Glen Ellyn won an award.
He was preceded by his mother Diane Syms, father John H. Salentine, and stepmother Melva Purnell.
He is survived by his brothers John)Valerie) Salentine of Gainesville, VA and Bill(Tami) Salentine of Aurora. His nephews Christopher(Yaritza) Salentine of Winchester, VA and Liam Salentine of Aurora, and nieces Elle Salentine of Gainesville, VA and Annabella Salentine of Manassas, VA. Along with several great nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog Kai.
A private ceremony will take place Sunday, April 26th on the Island of Hawai'i with a Celebration of Life planned for later this year. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House at Central DuPage Hospital.
