Michael Lawrence Wegmann's Obituary
Michael Lawrence Wegmann, 89, of Hilo, died May 17, 2024.
Born in San Diego, CA on February 28, 1935, he was a California Reserve Airman and a U.S. Marine of the Korean War era. He was a professional electronics engineer who invented the Progressive used in Las Vegas casinos. He worked on many federal government projects including the Apollo Space Craft. A member of the Lyman Museum, NAS water exercise, and Senior Center classes.
Survived by his wife, Irene Mason Wegmann; two daughters, Michelle and Eileen; 1 grandson; 2 granddaughters; and 1 great-great granddaughter.
Preceded in death by daughter, Laura and grandson, Brandon.
