Miriam Haaeoholani McCabe Kahapea, 100, of Hilo, HI, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, in Hilo. She was born in Heeia, Oahu. She was a retired Secretary for Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estate. She was a member of the Alu Like Kupuna Program, Koolaupoko Club, and St. Ann's Catholic Church in Kaneohe, HI.
She is survived by 3 sons, Wendell (Barbara) Kahapea of Honolulu, HI, Warren Kahapea of Honolulu, HI, and Wallace Kahapea of Hilo, HI; 2 daughters Wanda
Zablan Kahapea of Honolulu, HI, and Christina Kahapea of Hilo, HI; brother Louis McCabe of San Antonio, TX; daughter-in-law Patricia Kahapea of Honolulu, HI; 16 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Kaneohe, Oahu on Saturday, October 8th, 2022, viewing will be at 10am, services with Mass at 11:30am, Burial to follow at Hawaiian Memorial Park at 1pm.
