Nola Marie Smith, 84, of Pepeekeo, HI, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Sacramento, CA on Oct. 24, 1930. She was an artist, photographer, craft smith, and a member of the Hilo Orchid So Read Obituary
We enjoyed getting to know Nola through the Big Island Retired Military Association and the Hilo Bridge Club. Nola had a good sense of humor. Although I never had the pleasure of being her partner at Bridge, she was fun to have as an opponent at the table. We have missed her at bridge and always hoped that she might rejoin us one day.
Our deepest sympathy to Nola's family. She and Ron were members of the Big Island Retired Military Assn for many years. We fondly remember their stories of how they met and their time together while on active duty and in retirement. Nola will be deeply missed.
