Hi Barbara and Andolie,
I was going to be traditional and send a card, but this is what came up when I looked for an address...
Phil will be missed by many. I always appreciated his intelligence, insight, and wit, and old-fashioned gentlemanly ways. I believe he served as UU president more than once (that's what you get for doing a good job!) He was an excellent person that we could count on as one of the stalwarts of the UUs. I am happy to have so many memories of him as a vital part of the fellowship's history.
I know your family went through a lot to be sure he had what he needed in recent years.
I hope it will be of comfort to you to know that Phil lives on in many wonderful memories, and in the continuing UU fellowship.

Dear Barbara and Andolie,
Michael and I have so many wonderful memories of talking with Phil-- hearing stories of his early life and of yours together in Canada and Africa. He was a true force for good in our community in his cheerful sane approach to everything. We will miss him and send condolences to you and your family.

Dear Barbara,
I was so sorry to read of Phil's passing. He always greeted me so cheerfully whenever I saw him, lately at the concert hall. I imagined he was in good health in spite of his age. I'll miss those friendly encounters.
