Raymond Noboru Fujikawa's Obituary
Raymond Noboru Fujikawa, a beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away
peacefully on August 10, 2024, at home in Naʻalehu, at the age of 90. He was born on March 21,
1934, in Pahala. Deeply rooted, and the place he called home, Raymond loved Kaʻū.
A skilled and dedicated electrical contractor, Raymond served his community for over 30 years,
leaving behind a legacy of hard work, integrity, and commitment to excellence. His craftsmanship
and strong work ethic were admired by many, and his contributions to the people of Kaʻū will be
remembered for years to come.
Raymond was predeceased by his wife, Betty Jane Pualani Rodrigues, who passed away on July 4,
1998. Despite this profound loss, Raymond remained a pillar of strength and resilience for his
ʻohana.
He is survived by his five children; Raenette Marino (Tim), Raylene Moses (Glenn), Serena Fujikawa,
Sandy Carvalho (Dave), and Riley Fujikawa (Shaunda) numerous grandchildren and great
grandchildren. Raymond was a man of quiet strength, devotion, and unwavering love for his
Savior Jesus Christ and his ʻohana. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A private service will be held to honor Raymond's life and legacy.
