Richard George Harbottle's Obituary
With heavy hearts, but a fond farewell, we come to share that our Father, Richard George Harbottle, born on Oahu, February 12, 1944, has passed on. He passed on September 29, 2023. He was a proud Hawaiian. He grew up in Kaimuki. He loved to surf, play guitar, music, singing and even wrote a few songs, about camping in Makalawena and even love. He had a green thumb and loved gardening and working in the yard. He was really funny. Always a jokester and kept everyone laughing. He was referred to as the favorite "uncle" by many. Pohoiki was his surf spot and he had many great times there with special people. He was a Veteran and served in the Army as a Chef. He married in 1968 on Oahu and lived in Haleiwa. In 1972 he made Kohala home before moving to Oroville, Washington for 8 years. Hawaii would call him home in 1987, back to the Big Island for good. He was loved dearly and will be missed very much. He is survived by 3 children. Heather Ann Harbottle, Amberly Leomele Harbottle-Noll (sp: Doug) Richard Keith Harbottle (sp: Eunice). He had 8 grandchildren, Korallyn (Nai'a), Rheychel, Robert, Zachary, Richard, Kamalani, Elexis, and Elana. Many great granchildren, nephews, cousins and a living sister Eliberta Harbottle. He is now at peace. Rest in Love Dad. 🕊
