Rodney Charles Soares' Obituary
Rodney Charles Soares born to Frank Kakulu Soares Sr. and Winona May Williams on July 3, 1949 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
He is survived by his Wife Andreana "Keala"Soares, Daughters Rhonda Soares and Rochelle Soares, Step-Son Darren Alameida, 6 grand children, 5 great-grand children, 2 Brothers and 2 sisters, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and many "Hanai Kids"
He served in Vietnam War aboard the U.S.S. Jason in the Navy for his entire tour between 1968-1972.
He is a Retired Crane Operator under Stevedore Local R56-099 working out of Pearl Harbor Navy Shipyard.
He met and married his High School Sweetheart Verna-Lee Bicoy, who was his companion until SHE went home to the Lord. They had Two Precious Girls who transformed into Beautiful Women. He has 5 grand children and 5 great grand children.
Many years later he met and married Andreana Keala Soares, who was his companion until HE went home to be with the Lord. He came to love Her Son Darren Alameida as his own. Together they have created space to love numerous FUR-babies in Hilo, Hawaii.
