Soichi Hirata's Obituary
Soichi (Sho) Hirata of Hilo died Dec 27, 2024 at home, he was 89
years old. Born in Hilo, an army veteran, Sho was a meat manager
for the former Miko meat and slaughter house in Keaau. Later, was a
meat manager for KTA super store Puainako and later at Waikoloa
Village. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and liked taking trips
to Vegas. Survived by
wife Ella A. Hirata, sons Randall (Kyoko), Michael, and Reid
(Michelle); sister in law Janet and Eileen; five grandchildren Max,
Mickie, Curtis, Maci (Gabriel) Wilson, and Caitlin; four
great-grandchildren, sister Terumi (Jackson) Chock, a brother,
nieces and nephews.
