I am so sorry to hear of Stella's passing. She and I go back a long way from our days at Kurtistown School. It's too bad that we lost contact with each other. I left home for school in Oregon, and settled in Los Angeles, and came back to visit only sporadically.
Stella was one of the nicest and strongest persons I knew. She had it pretty rough in the early years at school, but she endured all that was heaped on her with optimism, grace and determination. I'm glad that she made a great life for herself and her family.
My deepest sympathy to her immediate family and her siblings. I still have vivid memories of playing at her house after school, and even though we lost touch, from time to time I've thought of her. In a lot of ways, she's impacted me in the way I treat and interact with people. For that I will forever be grateful.
