Terrance Lee Casey's Obituary
Terrance “Terry” Lee Casey September 23, 1949-July 5, 2024 Husband, father, builder, sailor Terry grew up in San Diego, and in 1974, gave his life to Jesus in Costa Mesa during the Jesus Revolution. His life reflected his faith; a man of integrity in his contracting business, trustworthy and generous with his time, helping a number of friends, become owner builders to get their homes built. He and his crew raised many of the old homes and inns in Mendocino out of the dirt and placed on them on new foundations. Terry served on the Mendocino Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years, bringing his 8 year old son David to meetings once a month, who later served on the fire department for a number of years as well. He coached his children’s Little League teams, kayaked with his family and gave all of them a foundation in construction. He loved sailing; starting in Lake Mendocino, Clear Lake and then to San Francisco Bay. His dream was to sail across the Pacific Ocean which culminated with the opportunity to join a Youth With A Mission team to deliver a sailboat from Los Angeles to Hawaii. He semi-retired from construction and accomplished another dream to own a piece of property in Hawaii, where he has lived for the past 8 years and passed away there. He is survived by his wife Frances, sons Terry, David and Daniel and daughter Kathryn, brothers Michael and Kevin and a plethora of grandchildren. Friends of Terry are invited to celebrate his life at his Mendocino home, Sunday, September 15th , at 2pm.
