Dear Linda and family,
Words cannot express the feelings I have about loosing Tom. I share in your sadness and grief and will miss him so. He was like a brother to me and the time we shared in CA, Hawaii, talking on the phone, and texting will be cherished memories for life. Love you, June
Coach P. was my teacher this year. He was a great teacher and always wanted the best for all his students, he would cheer us up, tell us jokes, and always push us to do our school work because he wanted to see each and everyone of us graduate. I remember he would share stories with us, he would tell us about when he used to be the pitcher in the minor league for the Red Sox. He had this cheerful, positive, inspiring attitude which always made students try their best. Thanks to him I graduated and I remember the last week of school leading up to graduation I paid him a visit and had a talk with him to thank him and let him know I was graduating and he was happy to know that. I'm glad I got the chance to thank him and have a conversation with him but I didn't know it would be my last. Rest In Paradise Coach P. 😔
Knew Tom for 25 years. Started at ULV when he was asst. baseball coach. Had some interesting talks then when he be at practice or when he worked security. Then I left working for the athletic department and we still talked all the time. Loved his Hawaii home even thought he worked my butt off fixing it up. But loved it even so. Linda and Tom took care of me in Hawaii so I could enjoy it.
Then I moved to the desert and he would call every day or so to stay in touch. Will be missing him on my drives to work as it takes me hour to get to school and he would break up the drive with a call. Then got married and I very upset I didn't meet up with him so he could meet my new family.
Still in shock over it as school is about to start up and will see if I can keep a dry eye on the road waiting for him to call.
Linda deepest sorry I feel for you as to the way Tom left you but as I get a high from him as he passed in Hawaii and not a bad place to go. Love Tim C.
Condolences to Linda and family and friends of Coach Pork. Missing the big guy, jokes, teasing, Scratchers, casinos, buffets; watching him play with Buddy, feed the hummingbirds and sparrows, and tell us to "go faster" on our walks around the neighborhood.
