Wesley Lynn Margheim
February 10, 1962 – October 26, 2023
Wesley Lynn Margheim was born in Holyoke, CO on February 10, 1962 to Fritz and Dorothy Margheim. They moved from Holyoke to Longmont where he attended Mead Elementary. While in school he was actively involved in 4H and once won grand champion with his steer. His high school years then moved him to Skyline high school where he graduated in 1980.
In the mid 1980’s he moved his family to Hawaii and worked as a liaison at Care-A-Van with the homeless population on the Big Island. He then became a Substance Abuse Counselor and worked at a few agencies including BISAC where he helped those suffering with addiction challenges.
Eventually he and his family moved backed to Colorado where he opened his own opioid treatment program spanning the Front Range. Wesley had always enjoyed goose and pheasant hunting and while living in Severance was able to enjoy numerous trips with friends, family and his hunting partner (and daughter) Jessaley. Transferring back to the Big Island in 2017 Wes brought his rich history of compassion, hard work, and family to White Owl Ranch in Ninole, HI. Supporting the
family ranch he also worked at Sunshine Helicopters and Paradise Beverages as a merchandiser. Abruptly diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma on September 22, 2021 Wes bravely battled well beyond doctors expectations before being called to heaven by his Lord Jesus Christ.
He leaves behind his wife, Johnalyn Perreira of Ninole HI. 4 children: Luke (Ashleigh) Margheim of Windsor CO, Leanna (Amanda) Avram of Denver CO, Jessaley Margheim and Jamielyn Margheim of Ninole HI. A Hanai Daughter, Kiley Carvalho-Perreira of Hilo and a Grandson, Maslow Avram of Denver. He also had a few special friends: Tim Murphy, Eric Harr, Jake Kron, & Wade Willis. Nieces & Nephews: Amber (Eric), Cameron, Jeramie (Andrea), & Jared (Mendee). And not to forget Numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins….
He was preceded in death by his parents Fritz & Dorothy Margheim and Brother, Brad Margheim
His family plans to celebrate his life and rest his ashes in Windsor, CO in October 2024.
