Woodrow Christopher Hoke's Obituary
Woodrow Christopher Hoke, 95, of Hilo, HI, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. He was born in Honolulu, HI on Feb. 27, 1918. He was a retired bartender in San Francisco, CA at various hotels, bars, and restaurants. He also worked for Matson Lines and US President Lines and served in the Civilian Conservation Corps, United States Engineering Division, and U.S. Merchant Marines. A graveside service will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 1:30 pm at Oahu Cemetery. Family requests casual attire and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. He is survived by 5 sons, Woodrow Hoke Jr. of Rohnert Park, CA, Anthony (Marie) Hoke of Volcano, HI, Francis Hoke of Dallas, TX, Scott (Robyn) Hoke of Twentynine Palms, CA, and Michael (Cynthia) Enanoria of Napa, CA; daughter, Beverly (Michael) Thome of Novato, CA; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
