Porcha was so impathic. She took care of my daughter and reassured me that all would be fine. My daughter's ashes arrived safely to my home in Missouri from Hilo Hawaii. I felt very secure in all that Porcha did for my daughter. Highly recommend Homelani Mortuary.

“I wanted to take a moment to share my experience working with Edna “Loke” Russell at Homelani Memorial. I called Homelani to inquire about plan options for my mother. Edna helped me understand the options available and fees. Her excellent communication skills made the entire process easy to understand which aided me in making an informed decision. “I highly recommend the Homelani Memorial Park in Hilo. We got the 5-star treatment. My husband passed away on 11/30/23, and the service that I received from the employees from beginning to end was exemplary. Melonie helped me with the cremation paperwork. Thank you, Melonie. Josh & Porscha helped me with the rest; the viewing (12/7), the cremation (12/8), ordering the death certificates, and publishing his obituary. Everything went smoothly, just like clockwork. “I seldom write a review but I need to recognize Loke. I had a pleasant experience working with Edna Loke Russell. She was accommodating in meeting with me in creating my mother's marker and burial accommodations. She is easy to work with and very professional. I did not feel any pressure to make decisions. I have the utmost respect for her work ethic and the ability to move things along during my family's difficult time. I would recommend working with Loke if you need any assistance.”

“When my mom passed in September 2023, it was a very difficult loss as we were very close. I researched the top three mortuaries in Hilo and drove by the three facilities. Homelani Memorial Park had the most beautiful location up on a hill with ocean views. Additionally the property had a peaceful presence. Porscha greeted me on my first visit and answered all my questions. She made the process simple and she was appropriately kind and compassionate. She was really the hero of my experience with Homelani. She helped me through all of the difficult details and was quick to respond. Lastly, Homelani also happened to be the most cost effective of the three local mortuaries even though I ultimately worked with them because of their location/facilities and good/easy communication with Porscha. Thank you Homelani.”
