Clinton Junior Naungayan, 73, of Hilo, died February 19, 2026, at the Hilo Benioff Medical Center in Hilo. Born in Puna, Hawai‘i, he served in the Hawai’i Army National Guard, and he retired as the Head Terminal Operator for Chevron Texaco’s Hilo Terminal. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, ‘Āinaola Ward in the Hilo Hawai’i Stake. . Survived by wife, Shellie Bee Allen Naungayan of Hilo; son, Damian K. “Duke” Naungayan of Honolulu; daughter, Dawnelle K. (T’Jaye) Forsythe of Hilo; Grandsons: Deven K. (Sayesha) Forsythe of Hilo; PFC Duke Kazuo K.K. Naungayan, U.S. Army, 10th Mountain Division—serving in Kuwait; Dylan Kala’iakamanu H.C. Naungayan of Houston, Texas; brother, Benjaman A. Naungayan of
Pāhoa; sister Florence J. Aiona of Kea’au; sister Moretta Kanani Gacusana Naungayan Balai of Hilo; two great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
